Watching cable news today and commenting on Louis CK and Roy Moore, a commentator essential said it's messed up if Hollywood is ethically and morally ahead of the curve from politics. Some Republicans have commented on Moore, but most are hiding behind the party.

I think it is a little sad that people are punished on the "if there's smoke, there's fire" court of public opinion. But then again, the victims do seem to pile up on these things.

I've never even seen a clip of him perform.

I'm pretty behind the times when it comes to telly. I don't watch many shows you know

I wouldn't apologise. You don't want to get like Coan, consuming anything American he can get his hands on! ;)

I always valued Coan's intellect and taste above his countrymen.

Hands up who enjoys masturbating in front of people who wish you weren't?

And now Sepp Blatter (already-disgraced former head of the world soccerball governing body, Americans!) has been accused of groping US women’s goalkeeper Hope Solo at an awards do.

Sepp Blatter, a dirty old man? Didn’t see that one coming.

Let the women play in more feminine clothes like they do in volleyball. They could, for example, have tighter shorts.

"Female players are pretty, if you excuse me for saying so, and they already have some different rules to men - such as playing with a lighter ball.

"That decision was taken to create a more female aesthetic, so why not do it in fashion?

With Louis CK it's not as if he'd kept his proclivities hidden. They're pretty much all here.

But. That’s the way to do an apology.
Taking full responsibility and showing some insight.

Some respect for that.

The point is some people will have that fantasy and there's nothing wrong with that but some rich and/or powerful people will take advantage of their position and actually play it out.

Its interesting that Woody Allens son* wrote the original Weinstein expose that started all of these public outings. He's still writing articles about Weinstein as recently as last week about HW hiring ex-Mossad spies to try and discredit his accusers.

Another interesting point later about how this kind of behaviour is what you tend to find in these circles, and that it's quite possible that in future young people will be dissuaded from ambitions to become famous, 'cos 'those people' are all fucked-in-the-head narcissists and hedonists.

Another thought - I bet Trump has the most powerful team of lawyers working around the clock to deflect any potential lawsuits relating to his past behaviour. He'd be toast if he wasn't Pres.

I doubt that hugely. That's like saying people will avoid entering the medical professions because Harold Shipman and Dr Crippen were murderers.
