You're not a cruciverbalist then?

Yes I am, as it happens – or was, but I gave up when Araucaria died. I did the Sunday Times mag crossword in the 60s and 70s, but always found the Grauniad more entertaining, with a better style. The Times daily crossword I found rather dull and lacking in artfulness, and of course it was always a self-regarding Tory rag.
But I haven't touched either the daily of Sunday edition since Rupert the Cunt took them over. 'Paper of record'? It is to laugh

I just bought a collection of Times crosswords so I didn't have to see the rag. I know my money probably still went to their coffers but some of it would have at least gone to the book publisher.

It's poll results like this that question why I stick around.

Cheetos, McDonald's milkshakes and Snickers less than 7 is heresy.

Fucking divas.

At this juncture, I think it's only fair that we ask: "who's the diva?"

Canadian beaches may be epic in the Irish / Scottish sense but they're never going to be ones that I like - IE Mediterranean ones with lovely bars and sitting around eating prawns. That's the sort of beach I like.

Does it have to be prawns?
