Thats interesting. I always see it (and write it) as "segway", I've never seen the word "segue-way" before but I had no idea that segue (I pronounced it Seeg) was the actual word seg-way.

Oh, I hear it all the time, consonantal groups acquiring a mediating vowel in the middle; I probably do it as well, unless I'm focusing on not doing so. I think it's one of those things you don't notice until someone or something draws your attention to it: and then it's everywhere.
