Or 85*.

Either way.

*Some BBC reports were saying 85 but they've since been corrected to 91.

RIP. Loved watching 'All Creatures...' on PBS back when I was young.

Let's be cheerful. It's not like he died young. A life well lived.

I'm peeved that the media I've seen are reporting it as "Harry Potter actor Robert Hardy". It seems that if you ever appeared in a Harry Potter film then that's the most important thing you ever did.

It is the most high profile thing he did by some considerable distance.

I always enjoyed his performances.

Wasn't he a major Tory supporter?

He was great in 'Hot Metal'. Seemed like a really OTT tongue-in-cheek performance.

Also played a right evil shit in one of the Morses. Can't remember which one.

Yes, I was (I'd no idea he was in that crap but then a lot of excellent actors were too). Same when Richard Griffiths died.

The Harry Potter films are great.
Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
