Sam Shepard RIP

Postby sloopjohnc » 01 Aug 2017, 00:21

Author of some amazing plays, True West, Fool for Love and Buried Child, his best known, was probably as influential as any late 20th century playwright. Didn't' he room with Patti Smith in NYC?

If you were an English Lit major, he was definitely a playwright you studied.

Sad that such a physical man and writer died of ALS.

"True West" especially will continue to be studied. I mean, it's a pretty great play and all you need are two guys and a chair pretty much.

That and Waiting for Godot must be great for actors to work off each other.

Patti Smith - My Buddy

Sam walked to his bed and lay down and went to sleep, a stoic, noble sleep. A sleep that led to an unwitnessed moment, as love surrounded him and breathed the same air.
