Idiotic Slogans That Actually Exist

Postby Bride Of Sea Of Tunes » 14 Jul 2017, 14:33

Just when I though that management gobbledygook couldn't go any lower, I heard this:

Born Leaders Reach For Infinity

It's not the stupidity of Ernst & Young, PwC, KPMG, Deloitte, of any other such money mob.

It's the motto of our prestigious Groningen University, founded in 1614 (that's 403 years ago).

Its founders will be rotating in their graves, I expect.
The invisible and the non-existing very much look alike.

Every sports motivation slogan created by a suit in an office who's idea of staying fit is talking to a plastic surgeon rather than a fitness instructor.

In the UK, Pepsi are apparently running a slogan saying

"Pepsi. Love it or Taste it."

Brilliant example of how the contract between language and reality can be broken in the space of 6 words.

One to treasure.

Wasn't there a Dutch ad in the seventies for a jeans store that advertised selling '(a pair of) jeans for two buttocks'?
