Happy 4th of July!

Postby sloopjohnc » 04 Jul 2017, 17:27

Going to the local parade, cooking out, it's my ex's birthday so we'll celebrate a little and then blowing up some fireworks.

Right on, sloop. My job has been pretty full on lately, so I'm taking the day to do as little as possible. I always think I'm gonna do this and that on the Fourth and end up not doing shit. Which is nice.

Sounds warm and small-scale, and lovely, John -

good to see this in the age of the POTUS whose name I shan't mention in this context.

I would guess Derek is quite into blowing shit up?

I'm going to the same party I go to every year, but might have to leave before the big event, sadly. A friend of mine lives on a hill overlooking a golf course with a fireworks show. Even without the fireworks, it's a hell of a party. Lots of good food, booze, Willie Nelson makes a guest visit...

Happy Independence Day, dummies! I hope you can all celebrate the birth of the bottle rocket with great gusto, regardless of who sits on your golden throne.

Watched (on TV) a few minutes of The Beach Boys performing in DC. I think they were miming.

Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

How Derek has grown!

I still recall the photos from way back when he had that moustache kit, and how funny I found all of that.

How long was that ago?

Jeez, probably 7-8 years ago. They grow fast, and change a lot, in a few years. I'm friends with Beebsy on Facebook and the same is happening with Liam, her boy. I remember when we got Liam and Devon to talk together on Skype. They were both just little guys.

I saw a kid watching fireworks on his tablet as fireworks lit up the sky overhead.
