Can't wait!

Nice

Although I prefer the double cutaway one.

What colour?

I'm gong to be wracked with the feeling a should have got the double cutaway...
It's gold:

I think they are brilliant value and a sparkly gold Gretsch is just so much cooler than a Gibson gold top - they always look a bit tired to me.

Here my new one. My first ever Strat, natural finish 1976 model. Beautiful twang. When I plugged it in it sounded exactly like the guitar on "O My Soul" by Big Star, which is fine with me

The Gretsch is a beauty! I had the Orange 6120 for a few years and really loved playing it.

Is it heavy? The only strat I've played weighed a ton and that really put me off.

Nope, nice and light. I had a 78 Tele once, that was the heaviest guitar I've ever owned

Inneresting. I think of my '67 Telecaster as being on the lighter side of the spectrum. A Les Paul Custom black with goldplated everything, now that's heavy. No way I'd want to cart that thing around.

Ooof! My Gretsch Streamliner arrived today. What a lovely thing! What a twang. What a tremelo!

I think I'm in love! I can't afford a White Falcon or an Electromatic but this is a good enough replacement.

Good dissection of the Nick Drake tone. Sounded close to me.
