Joe Rogan Podcast

Postby Jimbo » 13 May 2017, 18:24

Just finished three hours of Joe and Jordan Peterson. Joe proclaimed it to be "My favorite podcast of all time." Peterson was fearless and riveting dropping bombs of Niche, Jung, Babylonian gods, God, Christ, the bible, Pinocchio, truth gods, just a ton of deep deep philosophizing the likes not heard in many quarters. And Joe was right there with him, buttressing, adding humor, intelligently questioning, just a rapt and excellent host.

Rogan is a renaissance man, muscular, manly, funny, a bow hunter, MMA fight expert and commentator, pot and psychedelics enthusiast, interested in seemingly everything.

You gotta check out his talk with Peterson.
I love you.

Does anyone listen to Rogan in general? He can be interesting, though sometimes when he's with his buddys the "dude" and "son" can get annoying very quickly.

Innovative podcasting like I have never heard. For 3:45 Joe had on alternative science writer Graham Hancock, climate change skeptic Randall Carlson and to put them in their place Michael Shermer, the editor of Skeptic Magazine. Also, by Skype there were these other scientists to debunk or support the alternative theories. A fairer forum there could not be.

Yeah, I'll skip Rogan when he's with his comedian or MMA bros but there are times when he goes above and beyond cursory looks, gets a little conspiratorial, and it is quite entertaining.
I love you.

Are there other message boards you spend time on, Jimbo? Serious question.

And Talk Radio.

His acting range alone for those two shows defines renaissance man.

His podcast is hit and miss, as is to be expected with so many episodes. He used to be very gullible and was frequently duped by conspiracy idiots. He's improved a bit as he's aged but still slips into it when he's stoned. But I like him. His heart's in the right place and he's genuinely curious and eager to learn. I've met him while working at MMA events and he's a really good bloke in person.

OK fair enough, I retract my accusations of douchebaggery (even if he plays one on TV)

my favorite political board ever was an offshoot of the Joe Rogan board. I lurked at the Joe Rogan board and it was a BIG community so naturally there was some things worthwhile for the discriminating message board enthusiast. I didn't last three days. You must post porn to be accepted and there are actually people with nothing better to do than notice who is posting porn and who isn't.

posting porn wasn't an option so my time at the Rogan board was short. his stand up is pretty good but it ain't that good. I like his podcast well enough but I like others I rarely listen to better.
I hate every ape I see from Chimpan-A to Chimpan-Z.
