Well, that's why I asked for evidence.... Sir.

I can see why you and G might think it's the case. We have a left-hostile biased media that love throwing this sort of thing in the faces of 'lefties'. It's the old unfounded trope that black families get council houses quicker because they're black - that there's some in-built societal bias towards minorities perpetrated by 'the left' that lets ethnics get away with stuff (like homophobia).

It's just wrong. The opposite is demonstrably the case.

Of course. G and I have been brainwashed by the media. Thanks for that #truthseeker

I don't think you understand what I'm saying or the actual motivations behind what I'm describing at all frankly.

Give my regards to your bro

I can see why you would do it, you have said you hate right on lefties a number of times and you seem to take pleasure in baiting them - fair enough.

I'm not sure what G's excuse is though :)

Oh I think right on lefties are full of shit but this kind of thing goes deeper than that within the left. It's far more pervasive

Tell us more, Dougie. I'm genuinely intrigued.

JR-M is a preening condescending narcissistic Jackanapes. He is a local MP. His sister, Annunziata (call me Nancy), tried to be selected in the neighbouring constituency. Even the die-hard true blue hunting set thought her too thick to be electable.

Still, Toby thinks they're sound.

I'm hoping it's the tipping point for the X-Factor-isation of politics.

Emboldened by Brexit-Trump the Blues put up a BJ/R-M dream team, May goes stoolie to the press about what's really happening with Brexit in spite, *whoosh* off pop the scales from the voters' eyes and the Reds take it with their JC/??? ,appeal to our better instincts lot.

Magnificent game management.

I imagine the sort of people Dougie refers to are tied up in knots about the plight of the Rohingya .

Tony Blair on Andrew Marr this morning, a gibbering wreck of a man.

Letter to the Grauniad:

Jacob Rees-Mogg justifies his opposition to gay marriage and abortion even in cases of rape on the basis of his firmly held Christian beliefs (Report, 7 September). Fine. One can admire people with principles based on profound belief. So where is his opposition to welfare cuts on the grounds that Jesus went out of his way to demonstrate his compassion for the poor and the lame, the lepers and the prostitutes? When Jesus says “blessed are the peacemakers”, how does that fit with Rees-Mogg’s record of consistently voting for military intervention? Where are his statements on debates about executive pay, reminding other MPs that it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into heaven? I’m confused: I thought being a committed Christian meant following the teachings and actions of Jesus, rather than standing at the pick-and-mix counter in a sweetshop, only choosing the fizzy snakes.
