Except he wasn't the only one with access to it, and it wasn't " out of the box " when he got it. I doubt he even used it much . I read that it is unlikely there is a computer in the country without po*n on it. It is so invasive and pervasive. You also have to remember that there are more than the 650 people working in the HoC. All those lovely, untainted whiter than white public servants for a start... God forbid you would even consider criticising them.

What the fuck are you on about?

HIGNFY, The Oracle of Delphi.

I was repeating their information, that's all.
The oracle of Delphi predicted the future, braniac.

I am not defending him. But finding p*rn on a computer is like finding cat shit in a litter tray. It is almost impossible to keep it off a computer. And once there is p*rn on a hard drive, it can always be found. So all I am saying is that this is hardly a smoking gun, and I would only be happy for him to be admonished if every single parliamentary computer was fully searched and found to be completely clear.

Has it occurred to you that maybe the reason this became a story was because, maybe, there was more than could be justified by 'accidentally finding its way on the pc'?

Has it occurred to you that in the current climate this would be a story if they had found a picture of Cilla Black on his PC. the world has gone mad.

Yes. It's absolutely crazy the way Tory Ministers keep getting caught out acting like utter cunts and having to leave their post as result of their stupid fucking actions, it really is.

I would too. There are people (possibly MPs and my precious public workers) actively searching for p*rn on computers in the House of Commons. This is unacceptable. That was my point. People who should be working for us are searching for p*rn on their work computers.
What do you do all day at work?

I agree. But surely there are ways to stop sites being accessed, as they are in schools?

What do I do all day?. Well, at the moment I am managing ward refurbishments in live wards at a secure mental health institution in Highgate. To say it is challenging would be an understatement. There is no internet on site, so I can assure you that I am not scouring the internet for anything, let alone filth.

Sorry, Yomp, my question came across accusatory. I meant that I knew you didn't spend the day searching for p*rn. Neither do I - I am working nonstop, eating on the go. If I searched for some p*rn it would be flagged by IT. I'd be fucked, and rightly so.
What seems to be going on in Westminster is disgraceful.

A couple of points - the computers were in his office - not some open plan space and he has denied that any p**n was found and that this is a smear campaign.

That seems as unlikely as some civil servant(s) breaking into his office for a quick shufty.

As K says - in any other profession this is one of the few things you could be sacked on the spot for.
I've been talking about writing a book - 25 years of TEFL - for a few years now. I've got it in me.
