I expect so. It's got to the point now where the damage from her staying is much worse than going.

Guido Fawkes tweeted that 22,000 people are tracking the progress of her flight - which was somewhere over Bosnia 45 mins ago

According to “an ally” of Priti Patel’s quoted in a Telegraph story, the international development secretary is not going to go down without a fight. The ally is quoted as saying:

"Patel is being made a scapegoat, it is not credible that the Foreign Office knew about these meetings but Downing Street did not. She left for Uganda after apologising and being told that she was safe - now they are bowing to pressure.

She is going to be pretty angry if she is sacked and she could do some pretty hard damage to Downing Street. No 10 is being naive, the prime minister will create an even bigger problem for herself if she sacks Priti."

Probably right. Rees-Mogg is a better bet.

The Great Defector wrote:The house of lords would be far better craic if they had this level of passive aggressiveness.

Passive-aggressive behavior is "a type of behaviour ... characterized by indirect resistance to the demands of others and an avoidance of direct confrontation."
The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) revision IV describes passive-aggressive personality disorder as a "pervasive pattern of negativistic attitudes and passive resistance to demands for adequate performance in social and occupational situations."
In psychology, passive-aggressive behavior is characterized by a habitual pattern of passive resistance to expected work requirements, opposition, sullenness, stubbornness, and negative attitudes in response to requirements for normal performance levels expected of others. Most frequently it occurs in the workplace where resistance is exhibited by such indirect behaviors as procrastination, forgetfulness, and purposeful inefficiency, especially in reaction to demands by authority figures, but it can also occur in interpersonal contexts

whatever's going on here isn't passive aggressive behaviour.

I appear to have been correct.

Pritti Vacant, the second cabinet minister to resign in the space of a fortnight.
This whole ragtag battery should hand in their collective notice as the "natural party of government"

Well, at least now she can spend more time with her family. She should take a break, a nice holiday somewhere warm.

So Johnson has fucked up yet again by making an incorrect statement to a select committee that has resulted in Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe potentially having her sentence increased in Iran?

If p*rn was found on my work computer I would be sacked, whether it was a criminal offence or not. It would be immediate.
According to HIGNFY in Friday there are 100,000+ searches for porn of House if Commons computers. These people work for us.

Except he wasn't the only one with access to it, and it wasn't " out of the box " when he got it. I doubt he even used it much . I read that it is unlikely there is a computer in the country without po*n on it. It is so invasive and pervasive. You also have to remember that there are more than the 650 people working in the HoC. All those lovely, untainted whiter than white public servants for a start... God forbid you would even consider criticising them.
You don't like me...do you?
