Your favorite garment(s)?

Postby PresMuffley » 14 Mar 2017, 17:20

My style is pretty simple: Hi-top PF Flyers, Bootcut 517 Levi's cuffed, simple, plain t-shirt with no design, either white, grey or black, longsleeve button up if it's cool or cold, etc. But my favorite pieces of clothing that I own are my several pairs of Wigwam merino / silk hiker socks. Total footgasm.

Now if I could only get them to send me some freebies for shilling.

Hard to decide which of those is more disturbing.

At the mo:

Black cotton T-shirt
Long sleeved vertically striped (black and silverish white) shirt
Levi's jeans w. slightly accentuated orange-sewed seams (inner and outer sides)
Patent leather gents' shoes, somewhat Italian looking
Budget cotton socks, black
Budget boxers
My glasses

...feels fine, even after a long day's work.

Oh, and I find the outlandish undergarments I posted above (Homme Mystere) fascinating and weird and very unattractive - I still want to look if it's only a gag, or if there really are people who pay big cash for this stuff...

My bodysuit made from a blue whale's foreskin.

It's not surprising that the whale is blue if you are wearing its foreskin.

It's a Jewish blue whale and has no memory of its foreskin.

I want to get some of these Red Wing blacksmith 6-inch boots but they're $300. Hard to justify.

6 inches? Your feet are only half-a-foot!

I'm wearing my 2 favourite garments, excluding comfy scrubs I stole from the hospital.

I bought these as a "congratulations on my new job" present for myself. Comfy shoes that make my feet colourful and a dress with pockets that doesn't need ironing. Best work clothes ever.

I get dress shirts made online and it's an absolute godsend. Sadly, I have a rather fat neck, and even very nice shirts off the rack with a big enough neck size are far too big everywhere else. So it was great to find a place that I can get shirts (more or less) made to order, so I can control the cuffs, venting, collars, etc. This is also good since I'm pretty disenchanted with the currently popular cuts and deigns. It's not properly bespoke (which I probably couldn't afford unless I went to Hong Kong or wherever) and I'm sure it's environmentally unsound as the shirts come from Japan, but it makes me unreasonably happy. The only real trouble is that it's hard to judge the exact colors of the fabric samples on the computer screen.
