You purposely ate seaweed snacks? My ma tried to force us to eat it back in the day. It was rotten.

I like them

me too. Nori is the fucking bomb.

Get the Korean nori in the vacuum packs. It is lightly coated with sesame oil and salt. A nice snack.
I love you.

Yeah I buy that all the time. I like the wasabi stuff best but I found a BBQ one that was okay too.

Veronica loves it when I make onigiri with tuna and use wasabi nori for the hand grippy decorative bit.

We hope to visit when Veronica finishes Jr. High.
So...summer 2019.

I'd love one! But I'll have a 14 year old kid in tow -- and probably her dad too.

The kid wants to do a summer school semester abroad type session in Japan. She has to be able to pass the language test for it though so we're dubious about her ever actually managing it.

I've become a massive Japanophile/Otaku thanks to the kid. We would go immediately if we could afford it, but we can't and also part of the issue is not speaking Japanese. Jeff is learning to read it -- but has no idea what it means. I can understand a decent amount of spoken Japanese but I'm uncomfortable speaking it because my accent has to be horrific. Veronica is more enthusiastic about speaking it and has about the same audio recognition and vocabulary level I do. I had wanted to take some courses at a community college or college to try to attain basic proficiency first, but it's hard to achieve that goal here in Montana.

I think I've met more seaweed eaters on here than I have in real life.
