MTG is just a horrible person which should have been ignored by 60 Minutes. What a waste of airtime.

What is fascinating are the comparisons made between Trump's arraignment and Jesus' appearance before Pilate.
I'm quite sure the choice to make the whole thing as public as possible at this point in time has everything to with Good Friday and Easter.
It's brilliant.

Dem backed candidate wins seat on Wisconsin Supreme Court to give a majority of 4-3

The state’s high court is poised to settle a legal battle in the coming months over Wisconsin’s 1849 law that bans abortion in nearly all circumstances.

Her opponent for the seat was Daniel Kelly, about whom Wiki says:

After President Obama's 2012 re-election win, Kelly said his re-election was a win for the "socialism/same-sex marriage/recreational marijuana/tax increase crowd." Kelly has likened Social Security to slavery. He has argued that U.S. Supreme Court's decision in Obergefell v. Hodges (2015), which ruled that bans on same-sex marriage were unconstitutional, was illegitimate. In 2014, Kelly wrote that slavery and affirmative action both "spring from the same taproot" and that "neither can exist without the foundational principle that it is acceptable to force someone into an unwanted economic relationship." Kelly is also considered staunchly anti-abortion, after a 2012 blog post where he likened abortion, at any stage of the pregnancy, to "the taking of human life."

I would say that's a very good sign.

it sure is and we sure can use all the good signs we can get.
TRUMP and his many mental disorders seem to have the full-throated support of the Republican party.
those in the party & right wing media that have tried to move on from him seem to be painted into a corner.

Polling seems to show that eople who were ready to move on from DJT to DeSantis seem to be back in the fold. It doesn't help that DeSantis himself knows he can't afford to piss off MAGA voters.

I'm trying to convince myself that America would never elect that guy again. I'm far from convinced. so many people LIKE this crazy, sweaty guy who calls people "scumbags" and fantasizes about bringing back firing squads. it's pretty scary.

Trump's gonna shit talk his way into a gag order and, hopefully, contempt of court.

Yeah, 787 Million tho is a pretty big hit, plus there could be more individual lawsuits coming down the pike.

And there’s still Smartmatic waiting in the wings I suppose.

“Dominion’s litigation exposed some of the misconduct and damage caused by Fox’s disinformation campaign. Smartmatic will expose the rest. Smartmatic remains committed to clearing its name, recouping the significant damage done to the company, and holding Fox accountable for undermining democracy," said a statement from Smartmatic attorney J. Erik Connolly.

I really wanted to see Murdoch and all those presenters face full public humiliation in court that even Fox viewers couldn’t hide themselves away from. Now they’ll just be allowed to carry on their merry way with the spin of any brief coverage they might give it being how noble they have been in reaching a settlement.

We know Fox lost big time (and probably will with Smartmatic) but their viewers never will.

I'm shocked that this wasn't settled earlier and they made it as far as they did. I'd like to know who was pushing this so far. There's no way that Fox was going to allow their celebrities to be put in the position to take the stand in a trial (I wonder what their offers were like before the depositions).

If Dominion hadn't chosen to settle, Fox wouldn't have had a choice in the matter would they?

Maybe Smartmatic will be the ones to tell Fox where to shove the last minute settlement offer that will surely come their way and we might still get to delight in the humiliation of Murdoch and the presenters we all want to see.

That's true, but there is tremendous (even irresponsible) risk to go forward with a trial just on principle when you could be leaving a certain sum of money on the table.

Yes, and presumably they will get their $787.5m shortly, whereas 1, they could have lost and 2 a win would have taken years of appeals and ultimately reached Clarence Thomas’ SCOTUS before they’d seen a cent.

I get it, but still....

Tucker Carlson binned by Fox.

Wow, that's a shock. :o

And Don Lemon "terminated" by CNN - also a surprise.

Chris Christie absolutely lambasted Trump in his recent Town Hall. Finally a Rep who isn't afraid to speak the truth.

He won't make a dent in Trump's base of course (although I think his current 1% will grow significantly because decent Reps who hate Trump will love what he is saying), but he will sure as hell call Trump out in no uncertain terms in the GOP primary which could make for very tasty viewing.

Trump on audio tape in 2021 talking about a classified Pentagon document regarding possible attack on Iran.

“Secret. This is secret information. Look, look at this, this was done by the military and given to me.”

“As president, I could have declassified, but now I can’t.”

You fool, you'd already declassified it with your mind!!

Guess he hadn't come up with that one at that point!

The Republican list of wannabe POTUS's is a mess. None of them, except the Donald, appeal to a significant group of voters. Pence will take a chunk of the evangelical vote, DeSantis is failing trying to get further to the right in weirdoland than Trump and has a formidable enemy in Disney, Scott (whom I could possibly vote for) will never get there because, well, you know what most Southern Republicans are like. Christie is OK but he's got too much shit in his bag (bridge-gate, beach-gate, flip-flopper in extremis), Haley will never get there because, well, you know what most male Republicans are like. Trump is still the front runner, despite everything that's been going on. Possibly the first president to attend a G-7 meeting wearing an ankle bracelet. I sincerely hope the Dems come up with somebody that's not already with one foot in the grave, and as long as her name is not Kamala Harris.
