Your boy Trump is on tv accusing Putin of knowing about the sarin gas attacks in advance. I guess the great white hope isn't going to save us from WWIII.

But at least he's gonna give us single payer!

I could swear some of us here have known - and repeatedly told you that - all along.

Trump has precisely one concern - Trump. If you think it's any more complicated than that, you are deluding yourself.

And that is why I have said over and over that Bernie was my choice. But since Trump won and had said that he'd negotiate with Russia, and not get involved with wars like Bush and Obama, and rebuild the infrastructure, and improve health care, what choice did I have but to hope he'd make good? And there is still time for something good to come out of Trump, like the rumblings from the right about health care, but I'm not holding my breath. Instead I am cowering under my desk.

He hasn't negotiated with Russia.
He has got involved in 'wars'.
He hasn't put in any plans to rebuild bugger all.
His health care 'policy' is an utter shambles.

Do you honestly think he has any desire to correct any of the above?

Picks by who?
Who picked her?
Tell me more about the other picks, made by the person who picked them.
First, you're going to have a good long hard Google as you don't know who picked her, when, and you don't know what other picks you are comparing her to.
Off you scamper!

Firstly, if you're going to go through the trouble to quote me in an attempt to get a reply, it would be nice if you actually quoted me properly.

I was referring to my perception that military service tends to add an air of legitimacy to political candidates. Also, people tend to be less critical of anyone with a pretty face. The financial support she received from EMILY's List also contributed to her supposedly unlikely primary win. Her district is a Democratic stronghold, so there was never any doubt of her victory once she won the primary.

On the plus side, I like her views on the environment. Though I wish she would focus her efforts more on those issues rather than attempting to make a name for herself in areas in which she is clearly unqualified and ill-informed.

And here ... the moment you girl watchers have been waiting for ... an interview with the hottest honey in congress today …. Congressbabe Tulsi "Giterdone" Gabbard!!! ;)

Damn those Young Turks! Where is Howard Dean to talk shit about the brave work for peace and prosperity Tulsi is doing, especially when she can't rebut his bullshit because CNN showed her spiel separately from the hypocritical, flip-flopping, pill pushing lobbyist asshole from Vermont. :x

She completely skirted the real concerns raised by her Syrian trip and the "journalist" didn't make even the slightest attempt to press her. Though that was hardly surprising, since from the start it was clear the interviewer was in awe of Gabbard.

I would have liked to hear her questioned in-depth on her pro-Assad Syrian escorts. What she knows about the history of their organization. Why she backed an anti-refugee bill. Why she feels it is necessary for European passport holders to apply for tourist visas. Why she is against an assault weapons ban.

But, like the interviewer, I realize she's a busy lady. Maybe another time.

A message from Combined Joint Task Force – Operation INHERENT RESOLVE (CJTF-OIR):

SOUTHWEST ASIA - A Coalition air strike in support of partnered forces fighting ISIS south of Tabqah, Syria, resulted in 18 Syrian Democratic Forces personnel killed April 11.

The strike was requested by the partnered forces, who had identified the target location as an ISIS fighting position. The target location was actually a forward Syrian Democratic Forces fighting position.

The Coalition’s deepest condolences go out to the members of the SDF and their families. The Coalition is in close contact with our SDF partners who have expressed a strong desire to remain focused on the fight against ISIS despite this tragic incident.

The Coalition is assessing the cause of the incident and will implement appropriate safeguards to prevent similar incidents in the future.

The GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast Bomb (MOAB) - or, in military speak, Mother of All Bombs - was launched on Thursday.

 Mother of all bombs, I know it rolls off the tongue easier than GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast Bomb but it's still funny. The reason and effects of it obviously aren't.

$300 million to develop + $16 million to manufacture. Nothing funny about that. And they apparently only killed 36 of the scary tunnel dwellers.

Russia has an FOAB 4x as powerful.

Did Al Qaeda Fool the White House Again?
April 14, 2017

Exclusive: Despite evidence that Al Qaeda and its allies have staged fake chemical attacks in Syria before, Official Washington asserts with “high confidence” that it’s not being fooled again, reports Robert Parry.

By Robert Parry

In Official Washington, words rarely mean what they say. For instance, if a U.S. government official voices “high confidence” in a supposed “intelligence assessment,” that usually means “we don’t have any real evidence, but we figure that if we say ‘high confidence’ enough that no one will dare challenge us.” … https://consortiumnews.com/2017/04/14/d ... use-again/
