It is beyond me why this guy is still around: Blaming the "deep state," which his new secretary of state immediately contradicted existing, No. Korea, the Iran deal, ZTE, pretty obvious evidence of collusion with Russia affecting the election, kicking out selected press at press conferences, paying off mistresses with illegal campaign funds - where's the breaking point?

He's playing the "we are capable of bombing the shit out of you" card. It's all he's got. And most assuredly not what the world needs right now. God, if ever two leaders deserved each other. And if only they could meet in the alley after school and not take it out on the rest of the world.

I’ve looked deep into the dipsy-doodle eyes of many a TRUMP supporter and I’m of the opinion that there IS no breaking point. They have taken the blue pill. A truck full of cult deprogrammers couldn’t change their minds.

I think this is probably true.

Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

That certainly can't be a majority considering he didn't win the popular vote. It's Congressional Republicans I wonder about.

Malcolm Nance had a good line last night, and I paraphrase: "Back in 1780, Benedict Arnold wouldn't have known that his name would've been historically associated with being a traitor."

I don't know how Devin Nunes, Paul Ryan, etc., cannot not know that they are on the wrong side of history on this one.

Jimbo - There’s no way I’m watching another Jimmy Dore clip.

What is the allegation here?

The allegation is what we had mentioned before that the FBI put an informer/spy into the Trump campaign. That he was placed there before the Popdopolus (sp) incident which is what the media and HRC say tipped off the FBI to the Russian connection but that is wrong because it was this guy. That the same informer/spy had also been a spy in the Jimmy Carter (vs HW Bush) campaign indicating "deep state" involvement in more ways than we know. No matter if you think Trump/Russia deserved to be investigated this is actual conspiracy stuff that shouldn't be, that deserves prosecution.

Glad I didn’t waste my time then.

Don’t see any conspiracy. Trump had business dealings with shady people all over the world. Of course they were watching him.

All the Jimmy Dore clips lately have piqued my curiosity. Here’s a debate with Sam Seder (not a particular favorite of mine either, but MUCH smarter that the inept Dore).

Jimbo...you probably watched this at the time and agreed with every word Dore said. But revisit it now - now that we actually know what happened. In particular...pay attention to the exchange at 29 minutes in where Jimmy dismisses the possibility that McConnell would ever blow-up the filibuster.

This is the dummy you are listening to...

I like Sam Seder. I think he does a superior current affairs show and does a good job of letting his listeners know where the facts of the story are and keeping his opinions clearly expressed as such. He invites people who have written articles he finds worthy of discussion. He often engages people he disagrees with in an informative and constructive way.

I think he came off reasonably well in that debate. I think Jimmy Dore got a swelled head when he got picked up by The Young Turks. He is preaching to the already converted and appears to making a decent living doing this. Sam Seder comes off like somebody who is informed by reading newspapers and periodicals. Jimmy Dore sounds like somebody who gets his news from grazing social media headlines.Sam Seder can be extremely bright and self effacing. Jimmy Dore seems increasingly smug and self satisfied. I ‘ve admired Jimmy Dore’s stand up skills for years so it’s pretty depressing for me to see how he’s turned out. He’s like a Lefty Dennis Miller just oozing with smarmy superiority & contempt for people that Sam Seder would try to engage.

I have many thoughts about this. I was a huge Air America fan, remember, Snee? But now I don't follow Seder except for a video once in a while. The same goes for Rachael. Nor do I follow Mike Malloy to whose show I was a contributor. Their 911 official story acceptance didn't endear me though Malloy at least would sometimes preface his 9/11 related news with "Who the hell knows what really happened that day," but I hung in with them. The last straw was their Russia Russia Russia story acceptance that drove me to other outlets. It was as if Robert Parry wasn't publishing and they would overlook his POV. But Parry's analyses were an elephant in my room. Had they addressed what other lefty commentators said - as Seder at least does with Dore - then they'd still have my respect.

Re the Seder-Dore debate, no doubt who is the more intelligent but Dore's dogged damning of the Democrats' hypocrisy and foibles keeps me in his camp. Both POVs are valid: Seder's HRC would be have been better than Trump vs Dore's Susan Saranden-style opinion that Trump's bungling will undo him in the next election - if the Dems don't fuck it up.

Edit. Just re-listened to the posted Dore vs Seder debate and Dore did a good job, unworthy of your derision, Davey. I liked how Dore called him out on his "Democrats are swayed by the voters' desires."

And now I have a personal Sam Seder in you, Davey, smug and un-idealistic, in other words a typical HRC fan. Now I'm in the Jimmy Dore and Caitlain Johnstone camp, skeptical of the Russia narrative and damning the Dems for not doing enough to beat the right.

Dude...you are hardly an idealist. You are the most cynical motherfucker here. You spend your time indulging in conspiracy porn and convincing yourself that we’re all powerless against the big, bad man.

Willful ignorance is not idealism. Given the amount of time you spend researching shit that confirms your biases, you certainly could spare a few minutes here or there to learn the basics about how politics works. But that would be too practical for you. More idealistic to not know and just criticize anyone in the arena for not being as perfect as you imagine.

The voters did sway the Dems. Almost every Dem on my primary ballot has Bernie bullet points - minimum wage, free college, single payer etc..

There was no fucking way I was going to vote for Jill Stein. I follow one of Dore’s writers on Facebook - I think he’s the funniest damned guy in the world but he ridicules people who vote Dem as a practical matter.

Look, if this “people’s party” or whatever is going to happen then all these people need to stop bitching about how useless Dems are and do something useful. Maybe they can get something happening. If they do - it had better be better than Jill fucking Stein and they better hit the ground running.

I thought DJT was going to win the popular vote. If I could go back in time I’d vote for Hillary again. It seemed the best use of my vote. If somebody wants to tell me that it wasn’t the best use of my vote - you’d think they’d at least try to be persuasive & engaging about it. Ok. Dems suck. Stop busting my chops. Give us something else. Shit or get off the pot.
