Gay Republicans, too...wtf is that all about?

The latino thing doesn't surprise me. I'd maybe draw parallels with immigrants to the Uk from the Indian subcontinent: hard working, family orientated, religious, traditionalist etc. I would say they are naturally conservative leaning in some ways.

That bit does make sense. Theoretically.

In fact, though, Republican policies are no friend to any minority.

They care more about economic issues than social issues, evidently.

Marriage can be an economic AND social issue. Workplace discrimination, too.

It doesn't make sense to me.
Then again I'm a straight dude so what do I know?

They're no friend to the poor either and yet...

People don't necessarily vote for the reasons we expect them to but that's because We (i.e. the left) don't quite understand why people vote the way they do.

I'd be interested to see a breakdown of how latino voters have voted in previous elections.

One of the smartest things King George II did was to court the Hispanic vote, because in lots of ways (as GB suggested) many could be a natural constituency for Republicans. It's one of the many follies of the post-Bush Republican Party (and Trump in particular). They've blown up any goodwill. Still, there's plenty of Hispanic evangelicals who are driven by opposition to abortion and LGBTQ issues, so ...

There was no hack of the Democratic National Committee’s system on July 5 last year—not by the Russians, not by anyone else. Hard science now demonstrates it was a leak—a download executed locally with a memory key or a similarly portable data-storage device. In short, it was an inside job by someone with access to the DNC’s system. This casts serious doubt on the initial “hack,” as alleged, that led to the very consequential publication of a large store of documents on WikiLeaks last summer.

This above is from The Nation, a usually reputable liberal leaning publication however I tend (NOT) to agree with the DNC who wrote to The Nation the following which is appended to the article.
“U.S. intelligence agencies have concluded the Russian government hacked the DNC in an attempt to interfere in the election. Any suggestion otherwise is false and is just another conspiracy theory like those pushed by Trump and his administration. It’s unfortunate that The Nation has decided to join the conspiracy theorists to push this narrative.”

Did I mishear, or did Trump say something like "I think it's a very very strong signal or whatever" when asked about the Manafort raid?

Yeah, I don't know what to make of that imprecision. Usually, the word "whatever" is a signal that the speaker doesn't care about the topic, yet it seems he's trying earnestly to make a point. He may have just been searching for an actual word that proved too elusive for him.

It's really not worth trying to unpack his gibberish most of the time.

Okay, I confess, I have no idea if he's a meth addict. BUT, you've got to admit - it would explain a lot.

He is starting to sound like a supply teacher dealing with a class of 15 year olds at the end of June now.

you will "truly regret" any further threats.

What a doofus the man is, I thought there was some sort of animal intelligence in there but he really is one rucksack of fucking stupid.

It is difficult to think of a worse way of dealing with NK and Kim, this is giving them all the attention for their tin pot strutting could ask for, they must be loving it.
