I'm hearing this one all the time too! It's really annoying

yep. and narratives tend to have an 'arc'. I don't get this geometric precision. Why is learning curved? And indeed a good meal square?
That Euclid has a lot to answer for. Bloody Bubbles.

this vile thing: 'mahoosive'

I guess it's particular to these islands. I've been seeing and hearing it a lot lately and I immediately dislike the person using it.

I'm not that partial to: discourse.

A discourse is where several narratives meet, each with their own arc.

There is text and subtext, and none of it can be fully understood by people who are not professors in semiotics.

It's all post-truth, post-colonial, post-human, trans-human, and relative in the extreme.

That's what my good friend BoSoT told me yesterday, in the local.
On the whole, I'd rather be in Wallenpaupack.

have I already moaned about this preposterous trend of using 'because' with just an adjective or a noun?

Someone just posted this on facebook:

"That feeling when the orchestra scores you're using were last used by BBC Wales"

THAT IS NOT ONE OF THE FEELINGS.

When someone mentions "All of the Feels" (all of the vomits), do they just mean they feel something for once in thier godforsaken, numbed-out millenial anti-existence? Or is it that we have entirely given on using word. Now everything is some bastardisation of a word that used to have a meaning but everyone has forgotten how to make sense when they attempt to sound cute or alive.

"onlining"

As heard on the local political chat show. "There are new candidate training programs onlining all the time."

"Coming online" is bad enough, but ONLINING?! C'mon. Just say "being established" and save me the frustration.

My older sister used "Fam Jam" to describe a photo of all of us at Thanksgiving dinner last year. :(

She really should know better.

Ach - yeah. My mistake.

I meant that I don’t hear ‘texted’ at all - it’s ‘text’ instead. And ‘tex’ instead of ‘text’

and while I’m at it ‘your’ has pretty much replaced ‘you’re’ across the board. I think we have to accept it’s another form :(
