I was dreaming that I was trying on a hoodie and thought I looked super cool and mysterious with a hood on, vowing to get one for myself.

I had a dream this afternoon that Rayge was our neighbour. He popped round and I offered him a biscuit and he gurned and said ‘I DON’T LIKE BISCUITS’ which I’m pretty sure isn’t true.

Re: Weird dreams
I was walking on a street near the U.T. campus Jester dormitory where there was now an outdoor pavilion-style music venue bordering the street. A band called HAIL SATAN was playing. I walked up the street towards the stage area eyeing an empty seat near the front but I saw that a person standing nearby was just out of his seat momentarily and warily keeping an eye on his vacated seat. I walked back down the street towards Jester. I heard the announcer say, "Ladies and Gentlemen, HAIL SATAN!" which cracked me up. I saw two young men carrying a couch into the dorm. Somehow I gathered that they were taking the couch into a public room in the dorm where the concert would be televised. I grabbed the end of the couch so I could get in on this and they wordlessly accepted my help. When I was going through the door a long keychain attached to one of the legs of the couch got caught in the door handle. As I struggled to free it, I realized that the two young men had left me behind with the couch. I walked into the hallway of the first floor, passing rooms where various musical ensembles of different varieties were playing. I couldn't find the room where they had taken the couch, so I just continued to the exit, threw the keychain onto the floor and headed back out to find a place to listen to the HAIL SATAN concert from a distance.

Re: Weird dreams
I was watching a new "Game of Thrones" spinoff which involved the three main characters walking down a suspiciously modern looking street with what looked like electric signs and lights and then entering a casino/gaming establishment. I commented to myself on how low-budget it all seemed. I looked at the dvd box and then saw that it was actually a video cassette and then saw that it was actually the story of some historical figure and marvelled at how they had tricked viewers into watching history by making it look like another "Game of Thrones" show.

Re: Weird dreams
I had a dream that I had been given the role of some kind of master of ceremonies at an execution. I was dressed like a cross between Liza Minelli in Cabaret and something out of a Clockwork Orange. I had glasses on that put a ring of soot around both of my eyes which was apparently an important component of my duties. I had a plan that I would get to the execution and then loudly object to it, instead of facilitating it. Actually, I missed the whole thing because I was too busy looking at how great my arse seemed to look in my outlandish costume. The crowd was FURIOUS saying I had gone against years of tradition. So I took them to a Chinese restaurant and bought them all dinner, and on my way to the toilet stole a load of sugar cubes that were stored in the freezer.

Re: Weird dreams
Another dream in which I was in a television program; this one was a special hosted by Stephen Colbert which featured a performance by The Meters. After the performance one of them walked up to me, patted my hand and said how good it was to see me again. I felt flattered but felt that he must have mistaken me for someone else, because there was no way he could have remembered me in the audience for a show of theirs years ago. Later I was in a restroom and I saw two of the band in a stall together and I realized that was a comedy bit. I waved at them as I exited the bathroom. Then I was in another room with a bunch of old sitcom stars including Abe Vigoda of "Barney Miller" and Kelsey Grammer of "Frasier" who I recognized and said hello to. They were doing a comedy bit in which characters from different shows conversed and the comedy arose from the characters from older shows saying things that would not be politically correct today.

Re: Weird dreams
In one dream several months back I was attending a concert/production called "Jug Band Music or Rhythm and Blues" after the line in "Do You Believe in Magic" at which the Lovin' Spoonful were performing, although the band was basically John Sebastian with some younger musicians backing him up. It was in some small south Texas town in the Valley where the entertainment-impoverished people were excited to see anything, so little kids in the audience were excitedly chanting "jug band music or rhythm and blues!" in anticipation of the performance, like it was a hip new thing, which greatly amused me.
In a more cinematic dream, I was in a war situation, stealthily trying to avoid the enemy while observing a single enemy train engine in the distance going down the tracks in a hilly, rustic area. I realized that I had lost some important papers, apparently relating to the war effort, AI or nuclear secrets or whatnot. I and a female companion went searching for the papers in a building that seemed like one long hall and then came to a new room that was some kind of mystic portal to another land. A guardian stood at the entrance and said that we could enter on the condition that we kindly clean up after ourselves and help put stuff away. I entered into the first part of the new land, which was basically a library, leading to a common area with a bar. I spotted the guy who had taken the papers, some nerdy guy we knew who apparently took the papers co he could be a popular bigshot in the new realm. We confronted him but the people in the new land challenged us as to why we needed the papers. I made an impassioned plea to the effect that, even though the information in those documents was potentially dangerous it was something we had developed and we should have the free will to take these chances. One of them openly laughed at that argument, but they ultimately agreed. We started to leave but realized that they hadn't given us the papers back. My companion took a dart and threw it at the dartboard in the bar close to one of our hosts to remind him that we needed those papers!

Re: Weird dreams
I was somewhere in Australia or New Zealand on the side of a rural road across the street from an old, somewhat fancy white house where some social event was taking place. People were gathering in front, sitting on benches and milling around. Some industrial/business buildings were further down the road. A truck pulled up to me and the driver gave me a name that I thought was one of the businesses and asked me for directions. I was having trouble hearing him andI thought he said something about being from Odessa. I asked him, "Are you from Texas?" He then spoke louder and answered, "No! Can't you hear my New zealand accent?" He gave me some papers which he thought would help and I told him to wait in front of the house while I went in and asked for help. Inside, there were some people I knew and one old man with a beard I didn't. I gave him the papers. One was a photograph of the bearded man teaching a course in a crowded auditorium. I realized that the bearded man was the person the guy in the truck was looking for. I went out to look for the truck driver but couldn't locate him in the crowd.

Re: Weird dreams
Last night I had a dream that I was being interviewed to be a presenter on the Oprah Winfrey show. To pass the interview, I had to show that I could keep my cool under pressure, and the interview comprised of me having mock interruptions by someone asking me to mend their trousers while I was dealing with Oprah. The interview went well, as I recall, but I think I might have been pipped at the post by Tom Selleck. I was trying to text my family that I had an interview for the Oprah show, but my phone was out of power. I then remembered that I hadn't sent Christmas cards to my family, so I put a load in a box, wrapped it in a padded cushion and gave it to them, adding that when they sat on it, it was like reading the Christmas card.

I dreamt I was at the album launch of the new Sparks album ‘Looking At Big Things Up Close’
There was a quiz to win a swan.
We called our team ‘This Hotel Is Shit’
We didn’t win the swan

Re: Weird dreams
I dreamt about watching some big night-of-a-thousand-stars television salute to country music. Sometimes I was in the theater watching the taping live, sometimes I was at home watching it on video. The whole dream was too bizarre to get into here, but shortly before I woke up, Jo Anne Worley (of Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In fame) was performing a music-backed dramatic recitative about "The Day Johnny Cash Died", which had been written by Tina Turner.

Re: Weird dreams
More musical/tv/movie dreams, per usual.
One was like a movie set in some kind of dystopian future where people had to gather in a big hall with rows of tables for some reason. The main character was a boy who was obsessed with the 'Transformer' album by Lou Reed, and one track in particular on it that was a long, psychedelic guitar instrumental. He didn't have any musical training, so he would describe the music as best as he could, like "the guitars sound wavy in this part" and so on. In my dream I was hearing what he was describing. It didn't sound a thing like anything Lou Reed actually recorded, but it was awesome!
In another dream the Rolling Stones were promoting their new album by playing outdoors on a pier. Mick was singing without a microphone so he sounded somewhat muffled but still audible. I was watching them standing on an adjacent pier, separated by water some distance away. Nobody seemed to care about their performance and were just going on with their own business. Later in the dream I was in a small room where they were performing. They had a new guitarist who was a young Asian woman. At one point they did a choreographed thing where they lay on their stomachs on the tiny stage (just a wooden platform, really) and rolled around. I noticed someone standing near the stage and realized that i could do that too, since there was almost no one else there. I was thinking how cool it would be to be so close to a legendary band and take pictures with my phone, but then suddenly the room was crowded with people. Still, I got close enough to compliment Mick on the new song they did, saying that it had a real dance club kind of vibe, and he thanked me. The song had a real prominent bass guitar and a trip hop kind of sound. It didn't sound a thing like something the Rolling Stones would have actually recorded but it was awesome!
