All I want is for Freedom From Religion to carry as much weight as Freedom of Religion.

That just sounds like the Police should have been called.
Well perhaps Mickey gave consent.

I've been talking about writing a book - 25 years of TEFL - for a few years now. I've got it in me.

This thread is not - or at least, was not intended to be – about religion.

Hard to decouple God from religion. Not orderly enough for some.
It'd be interesting to talk about mystery, transcendence, mortality, being, the quest for meaning and all of that without the tyranny of reductionism. But hey...some kids need their blanket.

The Beatles are the closest thing to a God for me.

The Beatles are a concept by which we measure our pain.

I was setting someone up for that.
Think of that as fat Matt Moore hanging slider to Corey Seager.

I believe they offer great comfort to the lame and simple-minded.

I’m starting to think old D_F doesn’t like The Beatles.

Re: So, GOD then
To be honest, it's more a dislike of Beatles fans, than the band themselves, who I can largely ignore. Although Paul McCartney is a cunt, and would be way above Goat Boy on the BCB cunt placings if he posted here.
