California has more stunning beauty and nice weather. Texas has soul.

It's kinda depressing for a music forum to be proud of not knowing musicians.

Austin's great. San Antonio's a lot of fun too.

College Station's kind of uptight, but in a picturesque area. Which turns very urban very suddenly.

The buildings in Dallas are ugly.

Don't know the rest to speak of, really.

California is home.

Lots of California has ugly-ass buildings too, with more by the minute. It does have truly gorgeous coastline, mountains, and stuff like that though. Not to mention, Mike Love wasn't exactly wrong back in 1965.

You could also have put up Nixon for California. But Texas has been dominated by right wingers for a long time. Even when it was predominantly Democratic, the right wing of the Democrats were in charge.

Then sad thing is, Texas produced one of THE great presidents only 50 years ago.
