Difficult.

I love both. Biscuits hint at something more sophisticated don't they? "A nice cup of tea and a sit down with a biscuit". Their designs are quite fancy, from the ritzy Jammie Dodger to the simple, humble yet versatile Digestive. They can be dunked. You can put cheese or butter on them. And yet somehow there's always something quintessentially 4pm about them.

Crisps evoke something more mobile, more visceral. You can eat a bag of Monster Munch waiting on a train platform and whilst you'd need to wipe off the flavouring agent on a seat, you could never do that with biscuits without looking like a dick. You can snaffle a "tub" of Pringles watching a film late at night or rampage your way through a bag of Frazzles at 11am sitting at your desk.

Crisps. With extra salt on.

I only really go for biscuits if I'm ravenous and have some kind of blood sugar calamity. Or if I'm bored. I do like most of them though. Maybe even all biscuits.

I'm sort of doubting myself now.

Crisps are bit boring really, even the more "exotic" varieties, a prosaic and proletarian pleasure.
Biscuits most definitely.

That's my feeling. I'm pretty helpless around all forms of crisps. No willpower at all.

The more exotic varieties are shit.

Walkers, Seabrook, Golden Wonder...in bog standard flavours. That's what you want in a crisp.

I'm rather partial to tortilla chips or prawn crackers. Where do they fit in?

I hardly ever eat crisps (unless I cook them myself) or sweet biscuits, but the latter are pretty much verboten now as I'm at a slightly enhanced risk of developing diabetes. Savoury biscuits or crackers are OK, though

Doritos and Skips are ok. But Frazzles are like fucking heroin.

Tend to agree (although I 'did' many a bag of crisps).

With good biscuits, I stop after a small quantity (as one does). Good on the stomach.

But a standard bag of crisps, esp. late at night, makes me slightly depressed (after the initial rush). Meh. And when I have to pee in the middle of the night, I feel them almost returning back into my mouth.

I guess it's all the fat. And the salt.
On the whole, I'd rather be in Wallenpaupack.

Those blue corn (I think) tortilla chips are quite something.

Biscuits/cookies for me. Crisps are alright, if they are the fat cut ones, those Kettles, or whatever. Nachos with guacomole, well, they helped me through those bottles of whisky (retch).

Crisps for me, every SINGLE TIME.

I could quite happily live the rest of my life without eating another biscuit. They never have a proper, real flavour to them and they're really unsatisfying, even if you eat a whole packet at once ( which , of course, I never have)

Crisps and all sorts of savoury snacks are my absolute food downfall. More than chocolate, more than anything. I practically inhale them.
