Good God!

My thought, exactly! :)
Anyway: biscuits. The regular hobnob is irresistible. For good and ill you can only find them in certain stores here. I can't keep a pack in the house without the mice getting at them :?

Crisps are the devil's dandruff. I never eat them unless I'm very hungry and there's nothing else - any port in a storm! I loved them when I was a kid though - Skips especially.

Biscuits are all kinds of wonderful.

I love both, but then i love pretty much all kinds of snacks and junk food.

I devoured a pack of these after Xmas practically on my own...

Ah but when you get a crisp that has been folded in half and delivers a whopping double crunch, that sort of serendipitous delight is entirely missing from the biscuit oeuvre. Plus you can't do the "tip the bag up and eat the bottom bits" thing with biscuits either.

Biscuits suffer from the "I'll eat the whole packet if I'm not careful" issue, whereas a normal bag of crisps is just enough.

Seen those huge bags of Doritos? Usually going for a quid?

I have a serious thing for these, I can eat a whole large packet in one go, dead easy. They go very well with a large glass of wine and something good on TV.

Oh of course. You're on a hiding to nothing with those.

I have a gaming group where everyone buys big bags of crisps (those Walkers fancy ones like Chilli) and about 5 of us demolish them in about an hour. Once I feigned not going so that I didn't have to eat them.

Crisps and Biscuits are the one thing I have resolved to cut down massively on.

Ritz has introduced these - kind of a hybrid cracker and crisp. Pretty good.

How can they be 'artificially flavored' if we're talking about ingredients as commonplace as salt and vinegar?

is acetic acid 'artificial'?

Two of the biggest destroyers of diets.
I have excised biscuits from my life as I have never been that bothered about them.

Crisps I cannot leave behind, they are too lovely, especially cheese and onion.

But I have them rarely as a treat and weighed out.

As an emergency snack I have some BBQ flavoured corn bits which are far lower in cals
