(I am being facitious of course but I'd think a guy named Chomsky would see things from the Israeli/Jewish POV from time to time.)

I'm not sure that makes him a self-hating Jew.

I was being facitious. I never heard the phrase until recent times. I was just having fun with this harsh set of words. Nonetheless, that is a reflection of Chomsky among a vast number of Jews who support Israel, right or wrong. For a fellow Jew to be so outspoken on a topic as dear to Jews as Israel is a shonda.

I guess for Chomsky puts his principles before his ethnicity - as do many other jewish people... but not nearly enough ;)
I've been talking about writing a book - 25 years of TEFL - for a few years now. I've got it in me.

Perhaps some ethnic Jews might simply hold different principles.

Yes, I suspect that is correct.

I don't get it. What do you mean "ethnic" Jews?

This makes matters more complicated. :?

The video is wrongly titled. They are not Israeli leaders but very religious Jews who live in NYC.

I like Chomsky a bit more now. Not sure why.
