I agree. I like the super-slow motion pictures they show afterwards- such balance required between speed, power and athleticism....

We might have to pay Yomp royalties. He coined the word.
Whose brilliant idea was it to move this? I suppose I shouldn't have mentioned football.

I enjoyed that! But then I would. Everyone raves about her technique, head really still, never looks down at the hurdles.

Wow. Just watched Epke Zonderland's high-bar performance. That triple he takes is incredible!

Re: Your interest in the Olympics #3
It would be interesting to compare the original enquiry thread with various posts I've read lately on different threads. There appears to have been not a little revisionism at work in places.

Re: Your interest in the Olympics #3
My interest is sky high.
Especially in the semifinals volleyball, hockey finals, the long distance swimming and sailing which really looks mad if you look at the overhead shots, seeing the boats zig-zag across the water with the ever-changing wind. The diving is breathtaking in itself, watching the 16 year old-Aussie girl nail the last dive so perfectly, considering the nerves flying through your body it's stunning that someone so young could do it so perfectly at that moment in time. Just watched the Dutch female hockeyers win gold- kinda amazing that the same player managed to injure two opponents in the same tournament and it's shameful that the Dutch press refers to the two scorers of the goals against Argentina this morning refers to them as the 'love-couple', as if that matters somehow. I'm really looking forward to pigging out on the couch and soak up most of the finals-atmosphere on this final weekend.
