My first car was a blue Triumph Herald. A lovely motor!

I know I put that Harvey K-Tel on ignore, but every now and than I hear this feint laughing sound.

Must just be the wind in the trees.

The Herald was a dreadful car that everyone loved, the Allegro (conceptually at least) a brilliant little car that everyone hated. The hate was justified because they were so badly made and then serviced even worse. It earned its nickname as the Allaggro. It's nadir was becoming a students' "ironic-cool-mobile", but when I was a kid a 1750 was an amazingly cheap way to go road rallying.
The Herald (and I had a couple) was cute to look at and fun to be in, but thanks to the "tuck under" at speed) unsafe to drive fast. If it had worn a Moskvitch badge it would never have been been granted safety status to be sold in the UK.

I passed my test (first time 8-) ) in a Herald. If you want to talk about shite cars - I give you the Anglia.

Anyone had a Dolomite Sprint? I still occasionally see one.

Watching the London leaders and their proxies unite against a simple democratic measure tells me all I need to know about the UK in any form. Their interests are not Scotland's interests.

First car was a Triumph Dolomite ...not the Sprint, but you get the idea:

Funnily enough, my ambition is to pick up this Triumph  :
