I'm kind of intrigued to know what the following consist of:

1) Moustache ( fancy) - does it have streamers/tinsel/small goats attached to it?

2) Other.

I find it all depends on the man involved. Something that looks silly on a lot of men would look delectable on ooh, say Dave Grohl

For my own visage, I favour the full beard and sideburns look. It gets a bit hot and itchy in the summer months, but in winter, I'm sure it's as good as wearing a woolly hat.

Ohhh, that's what it is. I thought you'd draped one of the cats round your face...

I call that the Abe Lincoln, Duncan ended up with that once for a couple of days after a session of 'tache trimming. I couldn't look at him without laughing or calling him Abe until he shaved it off.

I have a full beard (trimmed).

I like it - it gives my face an all important definition.

You just don't see men with moustaches these days, do you? not often, anyway. It seems as if the idea lost any kind of appeal around 1980.

It's seen as '70s/porn star, I think, so kind of like platform shoes for men, it's fallen out of favor. But it's coming back, thanks to the kitsch/ironic brigade!

I've done a lot of these.
My default (since 1993 or so) is the goatee. I've also had the full beard, usually trimmed but a year or two ago grown quite bushy. Too much grey in it to really work nowadays, I fear. I also a few years ago adopted the Lemmy, with sidies coming down and meeting the 'tache, but with no beard. Like this:

Well if that is you, I think it might be the only time the "Lemmy" has looked good!

And can I just say "Well hello, handsome!" as well?

Ha!

This is two years ago, growing the beard out somewhat. I did promise the kids I'd grow it long enough to plait but bailed out long before that:

And this one is from earlier this year, on a Sunday walk down near the Fleet/Chesil beach:

It's an epidemic around here. And I suspect in other hotspots of official hipsterdom.

Indeed. The 'soul patch' should be outlawed.

The soul patch is the least of your worries if you live in a town full of tuned-in youngsters.

Dude, Austin and the Bay Area should have a stupid beard off.

Between the metalhead goat beards, the Americana, alt-punk bushy beards and all the other junk floatin' around the City and Oaksterdam, it's a veritable haven of facial birds nests.
