It varies a lot, but an average week will be between the high 40's and low 50's. Occasional peaks of 80+ but thankfully they are rare.

Around 50 weekly on average. This week its 60+ as there is a lot going on apart from clinical work and I need to update/rewrite policy prior to an inspection on the horizon.

I'm in the office for 7.5 hours a day, although I'm probably only doing actual work for half of that.

37 on an average, but I usually do not take a half hour break or a half hour lunch per day. I just eat a sandwich in about 5 minutes then resume working....
How would you like to be remembered? Oh I don't know. I suppose if we are remembered as a great little rock and roll band it would be fine.........

My contract is 35 hours a week, but that will be more when it's a month end week and we're getting the accounts done.

I'm in my office from 9-5. I do not "work" the entire time.

I'm contracted for 35 hrs pw.

I often end up doing an hour or two extra a week, but we get TOIL, so it balances out overall.

Our results to date:

Less than 40 hours 18 voters 46%
40-45 hours 6 voters 15%
45-50 hours 9 voters 23%
More than 50 hours 6 voters 15%

That's 39 voters which is impressive.

A recent NZ poll (in the NZ Listener) had the following results:

Less than 40 hours 39%
40-45 hours 41%
45-50 hours 12%
More than 50 hours 8%

It all means something I guess?

I work 37 hours a week but term time only and the whole purpose of the last five years, for me, have been to achieve a better work/life balance.

In order to fully achieve that, we got Lenny a similar job and now we're looking forward to six weeks together in the summer assuming neither of us get sacked.

Perfect.

My contract states 45 hours per week, but if the project schedule demands it I will work longer, although probably not much longer than 50 at the moment.

On a previous project on the same site I once clocked up 96 hours in a week. Still not sure how I managed that, but it was nice as I'm paid an hourly rate...

70 plus to 80 plus hours at my school is the norm. This is why I am leaving this year. Last day next week!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I'll miss teaching, but seeing as all we really seem to do now is prep them for the next round of tests (over 14 hours of testing this week alone for the kids - they're 10-14 years old)... I wasn't really teaching anymore.

I voted for the first because it's probably true, on average. In busy weeks it could be in the second category easily or the third at a push. There would have to be all hell breaking loose before i was doing 50+.

35 hours a week. I won't work beyond that without being paid overtime.
