Raw squid sashimi/sushi and squid tempura are delicious but the grilled squid on a stick sold in Tokyo park stands isn't so good but very popular with the natives.

Ok I've had everything on the list except Tripe, horse and dog, love all of it except black pudding, mussles, and rabbit (it might have been because I cooked it with the head on thanks to big chicken Duncan who couldn't look in the bag to see if it was deheaded by our landlord)

ON YOUR OTHER THREAD I said I'd eaten testicles which were good and so was snake.

Dogs 'n' frog's legs are the only ones I've never knowingly eaten.

I've given up eating octopus because they're clever and lovable creatures. They're great in escabeche though, or on pizza, preferably the whole baby ones - better than anchovy.

That's the part I can't stand. Squid is as close to eating a prehistoric creature as I'll get. Remove the squid archetype, its squid look and I'll eat it.

Everything on the list but dog and horse. Other stuff would be lamb's head, calf's brain, chicken feet, cow foot, ox tongue, tendon, testicles, sweetbread, veal heart, pig colon, sea cucumber...Some stuff I tried, but didn't enjoy would be cockscomb and duck tongue.

Sushi is fanatstic, though I'm choosy about what's on it. I can't imagine anyone not liking salmon sushi, melt-in-the-mouth delicious.

Rabbit and black pudding are my other choices. When I was a kid my grandfather once cooked my sister's pet rabbit in a pie and served it up for dinner. My sister didn't know until she had finished eating. I think it scarred her for life. I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy it.

I've tried chicken feet but it was vile - possibly becasue of what it was rather than what it tasted like. I admit to having enjoyed Shark's fin soup in the past but haven't touched it since I became more informed.

I regularly about half the stuff on that list. (black pudding is boudin noir, correct?)

I'm iffy on tripe and certain organ meats. The trick, I think, is to not think too much about what it is you're eating.

I'm not adventurous but did try pig's ear in the wonderful Red Hot restaurant on Charing Cross Road. A friend ordered it. It looked like little slices of bacon but was cold and unpleasantly crunchy. All cartilege, in a vinegary dressing. Spat it out.

Some of my favorite stuff!

I still haven't had snails or carpaccio, but my day will come, I'm sure.
The only notably oddball thing I eat regularly that isn't on there is tendon, which I have in pho (along with tripe) with some regularity.

I've tried everything listed... with the exception of dog (not knowingly anyway).

- Octopus is one of my favourite dishes, especially a la gallega.
Image

- Goat: Not too keen. It's a traditonal Easter dish here, but its meat can hardly be described as tender.

- Mussels: love it (any kind of seafood in fact).

- Raw oysters: an acquired taste, a couple of times a year is enough, preferably as part of a big seafood platter on ice.
Image

- Tripe, snails, pig's ears: mostly tasteless, it's the sauce that does it.

- Sushi: overrated, but maybe I never had it the way it should be.

- Blood sausage: never had "black pudding" as such, but I'd walk miles for a couple of spicy boudins créoles
Image

Carpaccio: very nice, but if it has to be raw meat, a real beefsteak tartare is even better.
Image

Horse: It's the "poor man's steak" here... often much better than (industrial) beef.

Rabbit: wonderful in gravy with a nice grainy polenta
Image

Frog's legs: I like it, but with a bad conscience (the same applies for foie gras).

Other stuff?

I once ate pigeon in Tuscany, but it tasted as bad as it looked (not the pigeon's fault, I think)

I've eaten Llama.
It was good although I was very very hungry at the time. I thought at the time it wasn't unlike Lamb - tender, loose textured. Quite rich although that may have been the cooking method.

I haven't had carpaccio but I've had steak tartare which is very good.

The only other omission from your list would be dog but that's just because I've never had the opportunity (watch out for your Staffies you Teessiders).

With a country cook mother and small time poacher father, my childhood diet in the austere fifties contained a lot of rabbit and pigeon. Dad would bring his prey home, skin them, pluck them and dress them on a purpose-built bench outside the kitchen (we called it the scullery) window. Mum would cook them, usually in pies.
In those hard times, all offal was important so we often had liver, hearts and brain.

You can't grow up in Essex without being exposed to oysters but I've never really been a fan although I had some on a trip down home last week.

I've had everything on the list but dog and horse, though I wouldn't have any trouble eating them if I saw them offered.

Other things I eat and enjoy that people might find icky - crawfish (ya gotta suck the fat outta the head!), alligator (I make a mean alligator scallopine), turtle (had some turtle soup last night), nutria, pig feet, chicken feet, chitlins/chitterlings, cracklins/pork rinds, pork cheeks, jellyfish, sea cucumber, sea urchin roe, shark, and a whole host of other stuff.

I've had brain, though I'm not really a big fan.
