Although I think it's good to have a few sparks fly to keep things healthy on a message forum, I think Solarskope's attacks on the proggers come across as the actions of a coward to be honest - there's not even any discussion, just name-calling. It's not even funny anymore.

They come across as the actions of a deeply sad, and insecure personality, someone who has such a pathetic & lonely existence, they have to get their jollies by trying to piss on other people's chips to hide their own feelings of inadequacy.

And that, m'learned friends, is a characteristic of bullies everywhere and when.

Totally agree. In fact, if he'd started this thread I would have just ignored it but I was a bit concerned that Coan seemed to be taking the idea seriously and a couple of people on the other thread weren't hurrying to knock the idea down.

For one, where do you draw the line? As at least one other has pointed out, if you create one for prog, you should create one for other genres.

For another, there are other topics that i think are more deserving of their own separate section before we start subdividing music.
