Roughly the same.

The actual amount that hit my account this morning is in the $2000-$3000 bracket. If i was to add the amount i voluntarily pay into share schemes that get taken out of my salary before i get my hands on it, it would be the $3000-$4000 option. Gross would possibly sneak into the top bracket.

Since I started on my own I've taken in as much as a few thousand and as little as a couple hundred. Makes the monthly budgeting a pain in the ass.

Blimey - check those state and city taxes!! The rest you can more or less equate to UK taxes.

You could go and live in the urban hell that is Dallas - Texas has no state income taxes.

1. Re: Texas, the counties (of the state) levy it thru property taxes

2. your city and state taxes are a deduction against your federal income tax
It's kinda depressing for a music forum to be proud of not knowing musicians.

It does sound incredibly harsh.
Is this a voluntary arrangement or can it be challenged? Does she work?

Fret not.

Well you could marry someone wealthier than you (as I did) - then the boot is on the other foot

I make quite a bit, but it's so fucking expensive here, it's hard to save much of it.
