I pick up a friend of my son's most every day and take him to school with my son. He was really tired and I asked him why. He said he'd been playing XBox until midnight playing Foresight. I joked around, saying that was a good short-term goal, but a better long-term goal might be getting a good night's rest and getting a high school diploma so he could go to college.

His response: "I'm here for a good time, not a long time."

I responded, "Big Sean, really? That's your role model?"

I hope you schooled him good...

If you've got nothing to do, don't do it here.

Lost $40 in a grocery store parking lot on Sunday. Today while pumping gas an older black gentleman returned my cash.

The story he gave me quite honestly seemed like B.S. - mostly I got the feeling that he initially intended to keep the money, then happened to see the idiot who lost it a couple days later and decided to take pity.

My (Liverpuddlian) upervisor has just suggested I name my clinical study "The BEATLES study" an acronym made up of an odd collection of letters that exist in the title. The only relevance being that we are in Liverpool, and what isn't somehow related to the Beatles just isn't worth talking about. I'm delighted. It's ridiculous.

Are you saying that your clinical study is boring enough to put me to sleep over a few nights? :?

Honestly, I just read a few of Markus's posts and that usually puts me to sleep right away.

And one too many cans of lite beer.

While they put me to sleep, it's about six trips to the bathroom at night.

Pretty cool. James Shaw, Jr., the guy who got shot while taking the gun away from the gunman at the Waffle House. Gets to meet his hoops hero, Dwyane Wade.
