It's a thing in my past now. My commute like most people's had gotten worse over the last fifteen years. Going home used to be the better half but it started sucking eggs too. So I'm glad to be off that treadmill. I have one more day to show up 28/2/18 and it will be all over. I'm really enjoying my seven weeks off until then.

@DF - sorry to hear of your Dad's troubles and passing.

I read this morning that Chris Pratt is doing one of the Super Bowl commercials for Michelob Ultra - grocery shopping this morning, there's a big display in front of the store for Michelob Ultra.

My condolences DF.

There's been some terrible news on here recently.

I didn't see this. Remember him that way as you celebrate his life.

The line on the map below is where they predict the next big Bay Area quake to occur. I live on the red dot by Quarry Lakes park.

Well, I grew up very close to the San Andreas Fault (see red dot), so I'm used to it.

Did my taxes today and mailed them off so that''s one less thing to do in the coming weeks/months. I used to put my return into my sound system but I'm so happy with it that I am thinking about using it for travel instead. With the Equifax debacle I thought it best to turn it in quicker to keep someone from beating me to it. I know it would get straightened out eventually but I'd rather avoid the drama if I can. Fingers crossed!

It's completely heartbreaking to have seen so many BCBers lose family members - mainly parents - in the course of a a few weeks.

My tax person at H&R Block who's been doing mine and our taxes for the last seven years is no longer doing them. She was great - she even did an estimate on my taxes for this year based on my Oregon purchase.

I didn't use her one year when I was living with my dad, and while the tax preparer was competent, she wasn't as good nor as efficient.

There's a guy here at work, whose desk is near me, who keeps using the word "again" at the beginning of sentences and it's really driving me bonkers. He just did it twice in a row, and I felt the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.
If you've got nothing to do, don't do it here.
