Cheddar bagels are an abomination. Bagels are made to have cheese ADDED, not already baked in!

Really, there are only three kinds of bagels - plain, onion and egg. I'll accept garlic and maybe "everything" as long as it doesn't have the kitchen sink.

Mind you, this is an issue everywhere - it's RAMPANT in LA - so I'm guessing it's even hit New York now.

Not saying it's good, and I very rarely choose it myself. Just saying it's a proper bagel.

You could've stopped after onion.

My son and all his friends now call me Papa John after the pizza guy. I was with my son and his friends and one of Derek's friends said, "Hey, Papa John. . . "

My son is working for the city we live in this summer, helping clean up and do odd jobs. It's great he got in, because those ages between 14 and 16 where you can't legally get a summer job can be boring for kids. I drop him off in the mornings and he rides home to his mom's at night. Usually, he'll stop off at library for a snack, or a shit or to read the daily paper.

Proper bagels have either a) poppyseeds on them, or b) sesame seeds on them. Anything else is just a fucked up bun with a hole in the middle.

I was thinking of this last night and decided I'd allow sesame or poppy seeds.

1993, London, I forget my passcode for my bank card. ATM eats it. Argh. Dealt with il.

Last night, locally, middle of withdrawal transaction, wheelchaired person trying to work their way in, so I go and help them. So, then I turn back to the ATM I was at only to see that time had lapsed and that it had gobbled up my card. Long weekend here in beaver land, so, see you next Tuesday.

Hostie.

I've found my 1987 diary which describes in detail what Geraint and me did at Glastonbury from one hour to the next. I haven't laughed so hard in ages.

Yes. No.

Helpful snippets:

'I had a row with Judith so I went to watch World Party ON MY OWN. Me and Geraint went to see Julian Cope and New Order then we fell asleep in a tent."

Saturday: 'Me and Geraint were in a bad way. I started tripping. I laid in a field for a bit. Me and Geraint managed to get back to the Green Field and passed out.'

Sunday: got up, still ill, but we went to watch TROUBLE FUNK (so brilliant)

Etc
