I do wear them more or less every day, as they're the easiest thing to put on when I get in from work and change out of work clothes. I am trying to wear more skirts/dresses, or wear nice, girly tops with jeans to look a bit more feminine. My mother is always amazed (and slightly pleased, I think) when I go to visit if I look more girly

Yes and yes - dressing more girly these days, but still wearing jeans mostly, and the occasional long dress.

I've found that dresses hide a multitude of sins though - why do think I've developed an interest in them??? Especially worn over jeans

I haven't read all the thread. I wear jeans virtually every day. I buy them at the Paul Smith sale shop in the Royal Exchange.

Indeed. Except the brand I wore, the ones my mother bought for me were called Devil Dog dungarees: Tough as a Marine! I still dig that name.
