My wedding in August

Postby Nikki Gradual » 01 Jun 2010, 17:36

Well, after a five-year engagement, it's finally happening (French bureaucracy allowing).
On August 7 2010 I will cease to be the cohabiting long-term-engaged father of two and will have my world turned upside down by becoming the, er, cohabiting married father of two.
The main reason for posting this is to offer my sincere apologies to everyone on BCB that I cannot invite, especially those who were gracious enough to invite me to their own nuptials over the years. There are all sorts of boring contributory factors which I will happily relate by PM, but I am quite gutted that I cannot have so many of my pals there on the day. So sorry, but I will be thinking of you all.

James

Very hearty congrats, old chap! :D

I could never possibly be as drunk at your wedding as you were at mine anyway! all the very best to you.

Congratulations, James.

It might have been simpler if you had done a Basil Fawlty and just said "No riff-raff." Everyone here would have understood, I am sure. :D

You will have to post some photos, though. It's the least you could do.

Enjoy the day...and every day afterward, as I am sure you will.
I could be wrong. I usually am.

Riff-raff? Quite the opposite, you should see the unwashed, baby-eating French contingent (who are taking up 75% of the invites and are the reason I can't really invite anyone).

Change of plan, everyone's invited.

Top news James, well done !

Stag do in Putney in July? I'd love to send you off in high style. Well, handcuffed naked to the N84 to Thamesmead at any rate.

So I am the only BCB poster being invited?? That's a little awkward. Forget it, I don't think I can go under those conditions.
