Well, the funeral's today.
I'm trying to keep strong, but I feel a bit of a mess inside.
I'd like to sincerely thank everyboy who's contributed to this thread and those responsible for making it sticky.
It's really comforting to know I have some really good friends here.

Sorry man and I know exactly what you're going through.
I lost my father to heart problems many years ago.
Take care.

Re: Goodbye.........
I fell apart any number of times during my mother's sickness and eventual death. If I have any advice, let it out. I found it helped incredibly.
Good luck, Matt.

Re: Goodbye.........
So sorry I missed this thread until now. All my sympathies and best wishes. Hopefully you're taking comfort from your good memories, of which it sounds like there are plenty. Next glass I lift will be accompanied with thoughts of fond farewell- for your father and for mine.

Re: Goodbye.........
Shit... that sucks.
My old man got married for a second time 3 years ago, when he was already past his eighties...
Fully knowing (and seeing more an more) how old he is, I dread the day I'll be a 'complete' orphan.
My condolences, Matthew.
