Is he the one who you said brought you to BCB, Carol?

You have written a lovely and moving tribute.

I am very sorry for your loss.

That's right.

Thanks, all. His old mates were very helpful yesterday with their irreverent memories, and also debunking along the way one or two tall stories he fed me over the years due to his love of sprinkling everything with a good dose of fairy dust, but I forgive him :)

I must admit that Dr. Benway had slipped my mind just as so many people slipped from these boards. But he was one of the few people posting on the Post Prog-board (I have yet to forgive him for wanting to piss on Camel-records) and, as C's quote proved had a wicked sense of humour sorely missed in the Gallery of Mirth.
Sad to hear about his passing ...thanks Carol for letting us know and being there.
Rest in peace Paul.

A wonderful tribute, Carol, he sounded like a lovely man.

RIP to your friend and a fellow prog goon.

I shall play Argus this weekend and raise a glass to him.

Definitely not playing any Steely fucking Dan though!

He was lovely but used to infuriate me on occasion. I will miss that.

Me, a prog goon? Not strictly..

I was referring to Paul. He posted often on the Prog threads.

If nobody minds ( well, they needn't read) I may come and post the odd thing here till I can let go.

From Emily Dickinson poem 1742:

The distance that the dead have gone
Does not at first appear -
Their coming back seems possible
For many an ardent year.

I feel something like that.

In the last few days I've been feeling like I'm sitting here, waiting for my husband to come back.
