It's now the middle of January and I have still not received a disc or any communication regarding it.

How about a flaky list and an active roster. If you do not send or review for a month you are forced to draw from the same derelict pool: ie if I don't send I continue to get Diamond Dog's name until I submit a disc. I really don't mind having a short list. I've been in mix club on and off for two and a half years and have only received a repeated mixee or mixer a couple of times. There are numerous people on here with interesting and broad enough tastes that I could happily receive several mixes a year from them.
