^^ Yeah, that was a good episode and he's a really funny character. I've got through the first season now and have the second queued up on Netflix.

Jared's ride in Peter Gregory's car was great too.
Peter Gregory was my favorite character. I really loved how they dealt with the death of the actor and used that to goose the character arcs in the series. what a splendid cast.

Can a four part dramatization of E. M. Forster's masterpiece, Howards End be more Powerful than the film of 20 years ago that won 3 Oscars ? I think it's got a good shot based on the first 2 episodes.
Hayley Atwell, (who is being mentored by Emma Thompson to "find your own Margaret") is a strong female lead as Margaret Schlegel and Leonard Bast is incredibly poignant and is perfectly played by Joseph Quinn.
There are two more hour-long episodes ahead to conclude the story...

I have to agree. EM Forster is a tedious writer whose work can't be updated in any interesting way.

I started watching the Netflix TV-reboot of Spike Jonze's "She's got it" and I am hooked.

Re: Now Watching on TV
While waiting for my season 2 set to come in, i'm watching this from episode one again. Fantastic stuff. No other show of its kind has such a detailed and believable story-universe.
Meanwhile, filming on season 3 has wrapped.

Seems like everybody's watching Stranger Things, so we're seeing what all the fuss is about.
There are a lot of overt nods to Twin Peaks, I'll say that.

Four episodes into this so far. Even having read the book (although years ago) this offers some surprises. It seems to rely a lot of shock value, but so far it's keeping me engaged.

Watching the Crown. The behind the scenes protocol and power of the Courtiers is very interesting. It's not the soft soap job I thought it would be. The Queen Mother and The Duke of Windsor are very unflatteringly portrayed.

Re: Now Watching on TV
Not sure what to make of this 'Waco' miniseries that aired its first episode last night. Taylor Kitsch's portrayal of David Koresh as a seemingly good-natured, if manipulative would-be-messiah might be accurate based on the recollections of people who knew him, but they have yet to graphically portray the dark side of what was going on in the Mt. Carmel compound.

Ray Donovan Season 4 - Too of much of the priest character; he's getting to be a pest. Here's hoping Ray kicks his ass.

Re: Now Watching on TV
I'm enjoying Britannia. It's hammy nonsense in many respects, but I'm glad that they didn't try and make it "serious" as it were. Vaguely psychedelic and Jez Butterworth's script is starting to do more unusual things than I had expected.
