Just started re-watching the Sopranos for the first time since it aired. Not even halfway through the first season and I just want to stay in and binge the whole series. Fucking job!

Season 11 of ER spans from late winter in Chicago to Mosul, Iraq where the army- sponsored Dr Gallant is serving.

An excellent series. None of us knew what to expect when ER first aired in 1994 except that it was an American ER rather than a British A&E: nothing could be as dreadful as the long running BBC production Casualty which we watched for comedy value, if at all it was so bad but ER was magnificent. Granted, unlike one or maybe more of the RNs on BCB, I've never seen a gun shot wound in seven years and only one emergency thoracotomy.

But this kinda starts off as thorny and just gets thornier. I do wonder, however, how Jason Bateman and his family get tangled up with so many criminals. But the characters are all good and interesting, as the story progresses well.

Just binged on 10 episodes of season one of Ozark and while unbelievable in parts it was compelling as hell. It's a crime drama almost up there in the ranks of the Sopranos and Breaking Bad. The violence is sudden and top notch. And the characters are smart, even the dumb ones are clever. That may be a criticism. Perhaps the writers are so smart they couldn't imagine a good dummy.

I've still never seen that, though the book is magnificent.

It's on YouTube - I hooked up my laptop to the TV with a HDMI cable.
Here's the first part of the First episode of Five...

Cheers. I never think of watching YouTube for anything other than music videos.

I've just finished The Deuce (season 1) on Netflix and really enjoyed it. I love the way they blend all the different characters into the story and the characters themselves are interesting. Something tells me that it's the subject matter that keeps this from being talked about more in the press and awards shows. Shame as it is really well done. Looking forward to 2 and 3.

^^^ Yeah, Schwartzman (or his character, I guess) is kind of annoying, but I suppose that's part of the point. Three episodes in, I'm enjoying it.

Talking Pictures TV to be exact. Excellent film, good to watch it alongside the sequel, Stardust.

Grammies. Is Dolly known for covering that Neil Young song? Seems odd to hear it alongside "Here you come again," "Jolene," "9 to 5" etc.

Picked up this after someone on here endorsed Hugo Blick - can't remember who it was and the search function doesn't work properly, but thanks!

Fabulous series.

And being used to US productions with multiple screenwriters, directors and producers, I find it exhilarating to see one single guy behind such a great show.

And what was up with Miley Cyrus' creepy googly eye expression? Still, much better than the Diana Ross tribute to herself.

If you liked that one, you'll love Black Earth Rising and Shadow Line
