last I heard, the producer Joe Roth recut Julie Taymor's film and that it tested okay. this, I guess is better than how it was testing before. He made some pretty condescending remarks in public and the hubbub is that she might do an "Alan Smithee" on it.

a romantic movie of the period with people singing Beatles songs.
no kung fu fighting, I'll bet.
bummer.

Hmmm.....interesting.

I notice that the script is by Clement and La Frenais, so that's something in its favour.
Know what really makes me mad? They clean me with a Brillo pad...

I've seen Taymor's two previous films and liked them a lot. Her sense of the surreal sets her work apart.
