If you must go for stand-up concert film, then surely Richard Pryor Live at the Sunset Strip would be the one to chose? By turns hilarious, scathing and genuinely soul-searching (pariticularly during the "freebase" monologue), it bristles with an amused venom for authority. Eddie Murphy's Delirious is funny but a bit one-note. Oh and I'm adding another one. So there. :-D

Whatever it signifies or represents or how it stands as an artistic statement is moot to me; what's important is that Delirious gives me more pure unbridled body buzz joy than anything else I've watched aside from Sly and the Family Stone's performance in Woodstock.

So there!!

We are really only at 99, as The Green Awning at number 87 doesnt exist. Its a figment of Mel Brooks imagination. It was his reply when he was asked what was his next film going to be.

Did anyone actually read the list, did no one notice

Anyway one more to go.

There's more than one film called Underground - I presume Sneelock was referring to Emir Kusturica's Balkan epic?

Also, Matt Wilson admitted that Debby Does Dallas was intended as a joke and should be removed.

You could replace that with Rochelle, Rochelle - a young girl's strange, erotic journey from Milan to Minsk.

Actually I've got an idea- why don't we use the 100 as a starting point for individual film discussions or something. People can pick which ones they want to talk about or something. Personally, I didn't know what the list was about, but I kept adding to it anyway! Oh well, there's some good stuff there!

Yeah -nice idea. Much more interesting than stripping it. People who nominated films can post about them and kick off discussions.

More likely we figured it was simply a film we were unfamiliar with. As it turns out, there are a few in there I don't know much about - and more than a few I've never managed to see.

Whatever we do with this list, it was worth it to me just for reminding me of a few films that I still need to see.

The classic one on the life of this chap naturally. How he overcame his terrible facial disfigurement to play top level soccer for London's Tottingham Hotspurs. Cameos from Alf Ramsey and Vince Hill.
