BCB 100 - Unstripped

Postby The Fish » 16 Feb 2007, 13:40

Or the AFI in reverse. Keep adding a film until we get to 100. Only rules -

Must be a film that doesn't appear on the AFI list
One vote per poster per day

Hopefully we'll come up with a good mixture of light and heavy, new and old, classic and forgotten, to rival the AFI list

Speaking of which: The Departed just came out on DVD and I got it.
Definitely the best movie I saw last year (so far).
The case's claim is accurate--Scorsese's best since Goodfellas.

Oooh, I love M! That reminds me to rent that one again soon.

I noticed Performance came out on DVD this week in the US for the first time. I've heard both on it but still want to see it.

It's good but I don't know if it's Roeg's best film.
Probably of more importance to us because of Jagger's presence.

I think that whole "spirit of the times" thing is a factor. I always figured Donald Cammel probably had a lot to do with the way it came out. I like i. I'm always a sucker for a good mind-fuck.

As the greatest movie ever made, of course it has to be there.

"Wicker Man" was spelled wrong, by the way.
