I'm intrigued to see the 2021 film but I couldn't watch more than 20 minutes of the TV show's first episode - it's not exactly relaxed viewing but I can see why it's getting such great reviews.
A senior work colleague of mine left nursing to work in the first Woman chef-led Michelin starred Carved Angel in Devon but she soon quit due to the pressure and she was Not thin-skinned. She'd previously been in charge of A&E alongside Guy's Hospital's the night of the 1989 Marchioness river boat disaster and took that in her stride but she said it was entirely straightforward compared to working in the swanky kitchen.

Finally got round to watching it. Two episodes in, absolutely wonderful. Exhausting, funny, tragic .... phenomenal

No fan of his, can’t stand the over exposed, arrogant bloke. This is just exceptionally good acting and good story telling. Chris described it best.

It was tongue in cheek Rob - perhaps Fanny Craddock might have been better!

I suppose 20 minutes was not long enough to give an objective view but it just didn't appeal

The restaurant and the diners, the fall from grace of celebrity chef played by Stephen graham, the desperation of staff to survive, financially, that they will do anything to survive. The list goes on and on.

Really enjoying the second series of this, not so manic and frenetic as the first and I like the gradual development of the characters. Whilst the first series is an endurance with the possible need for therapy after watching it, the second is light and airy in comparison.

Spot on, Rob. Far more genteel pace, allows the actors to breathe, and some of the performances are outstanding
