That was the thing, Connery's return in NSNA was a marked improvement over Diamonds. He didn't try to downplay his advanced age, the hairpiece, or any of that. He played the role like you'd settle into your most comfortable suit from your youth.
Connery actually looks better in NSNA than he did in DAF, somehow.
