3 is the best. 2 is great, but lacks the range of performances of the former.

2,3,4 and 1

although having re-watched the first series again it's actually much better than I remember it but Edmund's character hasn't quite been fully formed in the way he is in the following series and is more of a pitiful fool. It certainly moved up a gear in the second series following a strict formula from then on (if it ain't broke.....)

Ben Elton came on board with the second series.

I can't choose between 2 and 3 for top slot
But it's obviously those two then 4 then 1
