My thoughts exactly. I love him.
I wasn't mad keen on the Yentob docu - all that jumping about was unsettling rather than interesting - but it was fun (as always) to see the great man hold forth on all manner of things. And to see that he and Carl Reiner still get together every evening to watch a film and have spaghetti and meatballs together!
I'd recommend the American Masters docu from a few years back - Make A Noise.
Did Mel tell his Cary Grant story on every chat show he was invited to appear on?
