Ongoing Netflix recommendations
I'm watching Godless. 2 episodes in and it's very good - a solid western with an intriguing storyline and some great cinematography.

Yeah, I really enjoyed it. Jack O'Connell has put in some excellent performances in various things over the last few years. Jeff Daniels was very good too, genuinely frightening playing against type as Frank Griffin.

Chasing Trane. A fairly decent John Coltrane documentary.

Just finished Narcos Season 3, watchable and well done always, but not as thrilling as the Escobar series. I didn't feel it coming to a satisfying close, it just kind of stopped.

I'm halfway through Narcos Season 3. I like it, but I agree that without Escobar it lacks a certain something. I don't miss Boyd Holdbrook though - his character always felt totally extraneous.

The roles Arturo Castro plays in Narcos and Broad city are absolute poles apart

Another vote for The Crown (or 'The One Show' as Liz probably calls it) here.
No big fan of 'The Firm' since hearing of how they ostracised that poor Crawfie woman for writing an anodyne book about the little princesses she nannied. While I had no great desire to watch the show as a result, I finally bowed to the advice of lots of friends who said it was terrific.
They were right. it's absolutely riveting stuff. Never thought I'd feel the slightest bit sorry for Princess Margaret, but jeez how appallingly she got shafted by her family and their assorted courtiers and advisors.
Next up the Israeli show Fauda.

Just finished watching Godless and never realised, until I had a good look at the cast, that Frank Griffin was played by Jeff Daniels. That's fine acting, or lack of observation on my part. Great storytelling.
